Clarksville Elementary School Reviews

In recent years, the school has become a dissappointment. Over the past several years, I have had three children attend Clarksville. Unfortunately, the past three years have been by far,the worst in terms of communication with and from the school.I have found it very difficult to get a response (phone call, e-mail) from either the principal and/or the teachers. My specific points of concern most recently have ranged from my child having difficulty in a particular subject to concerns about bullying. Regrettably, little or nothing was ever done by anyone from the school. End result has been our retaining outside tutoring and counseling. I certainly hope for the sake of all the children at Clarksville, that the principal and superintendent get back to what matters and recognize that they need to do a lot better in communicating with parents and providing a safe learning environment for all the children.

Sharon Elementary would like to take this opportunity to thank the principal(s), teachers and students of Clarksville Elementary for their compassion and caring during our crisis. Your donation of books and letters to the students were very much a ray of sunshine after the storm. The teachers and administration should be commended for being wonderful role models for their students. Thanks for helping us get back to normal after Katrina! You will never be forgotten.

Our family found Clarksville Elementary to be a wonderful experience for our daughters, both academically and socially. Although it is a smaller school in the district, with less glitz and glam than the other elementary schools, we found the teachers to be warm, caring, engaging, and genuinely concerned about the students' academic progress. Parents were highly involved at the school, and you were always welcome to come to the school at any time. You should remember the saying, 'Don't judge a book by its cover' when considering Clarksville. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but what's on the inside is wonderful!
